VMware platforms
Sound decisions for vSphere, VCF and vSAN, from design to lifecycle.
How I can help
Design and delivery of VMware platforms. Focus on fault domains, networking, storage, management and the operational consequences of architecture choices.
VMware consultancy grounded in architecture
For vSphere, VMware Cloud Foundation and vSAN, I look beyond installation and configuration. The platform must fit workloads, availability objectives, networking, storage and the operating model. I help assess existing decisions and design new or changing environments.
Make decisions and dependencies explicit
Areas of focus include management and workload environments, failure domains, stretched infrastructure, capacity, networking requirements and lifecycle. I assess the assumptions in the design and the consequences of disruption. Version-specific requirements are checked against the documentation for the deployed release.
From review to delivery
I support architecture and readiness reviews, HLDs and LLDs, migration and upgrade plans and technical delivery. VMware is considered alongside the underlying infrastructure and daily operations. The result is a substantiated direction and a practical plan, including validation and handover.

VMware in the wider infrastructure
My experience with vSphere, VCF and vSAN comes from engineering, platform design and lifecycle work. I examine VMware configuration alongside the networking, storage, foundation services and operations needed to use the platform reliably.
Stretched platforms and workload decisions
I have worked on stretched vSAN ESA environments and infrastructure for VDI and enterprise workloads. Workload placement, storage policies, capacity during failures and inter-site dependencies are design questions. I help make these decisions explicit and connect them to platform validation and operations.
