Can the operations team support the result? I connect the existing environment, objectives and constraints before choosing a technical direction.

From HLD to decisions that can be delivered

I support High-Level Designs, Low-Level Designs and independent architecture reviews. Compute, networking, storage, security dependencies, operations and lifecycle are considered together. Design decisions explain the objective, assumptions, alternatives and consequences for delivery and operations.

Useful outcomes

Depending on the engagement, the outcome can include an environment overview, explicit design decisions, a risk and dependency assessment and a practical roadmap. I discuss these with the people building and operating the platform, keeping architecture connected to daily work.

Design decisions you can explain

I am at my strongest when a question spans several layers. I connect the current state with the intended direction, make assumptions explicit and check whether decisions fit together. My engineering background helps me identify where a design may become difficult to implement.

A review that includes failure and operations

In a review, I examine management service dependencies, placement across sites, network paths, storage policies and the way the team makes changes. Which components share a risk? What continues to function during a failure? Which assumptions still need evidence? The outcome is a supported assessment with specific discussion points and next steps.
