A hybrid-cloud engagement starts with workloads, locations, availability, connectivity and responsibilities. What must remain local? Where do dependencies arise? Which decisions fit the people maintaining the environment? The product selection follows that understanding.

Platform design with continuity in mind

I translate the current environment into a coherent platform design. Capacity, failure domains, network paths, storage, monitoring and lifecycle all have a place. Availability is discussed through concrete scenarios, such as losing a component, connection or location.

A realistic path to the target environment

The outcome can be a target architecture, a review of existing decisions or a phased transition plan. I make dependencies and assumptions explicit and connect the design to migration, operations and handover. My experience covers complex datacenter, enterprise infrastructure and managed services.

Start with the existing landscape

My experience is in datacenter and hybrid-cloud environments where platform renewal, availability and daily operations meet. I examine the current environment, the services depending on it and where standardisation or renewal adds value. The intended direction needs to fit the people who will operate the platform.

Availability as a design question

Multiple sites add value when dependencies and failure behaviour are understood. I help assess placement of workloads and management services, required network and storage connections and the operational implications. This includes distinguishing a service that continues running from a management platform that is temporarily unavailable.
