SERVICES / AUTOMATION
Automation-first
Repeatable, verifiable and transferable. Reduce reliance on manual actions.
How I can help
Ansible, AAP, Terraform and Packer for consistent delivery and operations. Understand the process before automating it.
Understand the process before choosing tooling
Automation needs a clear desired state and a way to validate it. I start with inputs, dependencies, exceptions, permissions and ownership. Only then do we decide where Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform or Packer is a useful fit.
Repeatable delivery and manageable change
I support consistent platform provisioning, configuration management and image processes. Executing a task is only part of the work: error handling, logging, validation, secrets and handover also matter. Knowledge should be captured so someone else can understand and operate the process.
A practical starting point
An engagement can begin with a review of an existing process or automation platform. We choose a bounded use case, define the intended result and agree how success and recovery will be checked. That provides a basis for further development.

From a recurring task to a maintainable process
My experience includes Ansible, AWX/AAP, Terraform and Packer, supporting platform deployment, image building and recurring operations. I start with the process: which inputs are reliable, which steps depend on earlier work and how do we verify the outcome?
Automation belongs in the architecture
Permissions, credentials, connectivity, logging and execution locations determine whether automation is safe and useful. I include those concerns in the design. The team needs to see what happened, understand failures and know when a process can be rerun. Automation is transferable when that knowledge extends beyond its original author.
