RDR IT Consultancy is my independent business. You work directly with me: accessible, involved and focused on the result.
Grounded in engineering
My background is engineering and complex infrastructure. From that foundation I developed into architecture, design, automation and technical leadership, including experience as Product Owner Hybrid Cloud/Datacenter.
Perspective and action
I quickly build an understanding of large environments, dependencies and bottlenecks. Then I want to move forward: clear choices, practical designs and a plan that can be delivered.
What to expect

My development: technology, responsibility and direction
My career started close to the technology. Engineering teaches you what a design means in practice: the dependencies you encounter, what can go wrong during a change and what an operations team needs to maintain a reliable environment.
From that foundation, I progressed to Senior Engineer and Technical Expert, followed by Product Owner for Hybrid Cloud/Datacenter. My work expanded from troubleshooting and delivery to design, standardisation, automation and technical direction. That development shaped my approach today: seeing the whole environment while understanding the detail needed to support the decisions.
Understand the environment, then move forward
Large environments often contain plenty of information without a shared understanding. I quickly establish how their components influence one another by examining data flows, dependencies, responsibilities and daily operations. I speak with the people who know the environment and check assumptions against technical reality.
I then turn that understanding into action. What is the largest risk? Which decision is on the critical path? What can the team do now? I connect analysis to design, and design to an executable plan.
How I work with people
I am direct and approachable. You get my assessment, including the trade-offs and the questions that still need investigation. If an approach adds unnecessary complexity or overlooks an important risk, I will say so. I also listen to the people operating the environment every day: their practical knowledge belongs in the design.
I enjoy working alongside engineers, architects and operations teams. Clear agreements, a supported direction and room for technical discussion help a team move forward. Ownership means staying involved in our commitments and being clear about what I know and what remains uncertain.

Independent consulting was a natural next step for me. RDR IT Consultancy allows me to contribute my experience directly to organisations that need technical depth and a view of the whole environment. You work with me, from the first conversation through the engagement.
I am based in Oosterhout, the Netherlands. My approach is practical: understand the need, make informed decisions and build something together that remains workable after handover.
