Migration & lifecycle

Deliver change in a controlled way, with attention to dependencies and service continuity.

How I can help

Migration and upgrade plans, technical reviews, validation, rollback and handover. A delivered change must remain maintainable.

Migration starts with dependencies

An upgrade or migration often affects more than the product being changed. I assess the current configuration, integrations, operating processes and constraints before defining the delivery path. The aim is a substantiated plan that fits service requirements and the delivery team.

Preparation, validation and recovery

I support technical reviews, compatibility checks, prechecks, sequencing, validation and appropriate recovery or rollback planning. Product-specific capabilities are checked for the releases involved. We define continuation and stop criteria and who makes those decisions.

Operations must work after the change

A successful installation is not the end of an engagement. Documentation, monitoring, operating agreements and handover are included where agreed. This keeps changes, decisions and remaining actions visible.

A change is more than an upgrade

My engineering and datacenter background supports preparation for migrations and upgrades. Versions and compatibility are part of the question, alongside dependencies on storage, networking, foundation services and management platforms. I establish the required sequence and where validation must happen first.

Finish with a usable handover

I examine preparation, execution steps, checks and a realistic fallback option. After a change, the team also needs to understand what changed, which issues remain and who owns the next steps. Documentation, monitoring and handover are part of the work, leaving operations with an understandable environment.
